HortEast 2009 has come to a close - thank you to our exhibitors, delegates, speakers and sponsors for making this show such a success! Mark down the dates of the 2010 show, taking place at the Cunard Centre in Halifax, NS: November 23rd-24th, with pre-show events on Monday November 22nd.
The 2009 HortEast Trade Show was an extremely successful event – with the move from a bi-annual to an annual show, the committee was very pleased with the turn out and participation at HortEast this year. This was the second year that HortEast has run with a new committee structure, with representation from Landscape New Brunswick, Landscape Nova Scotia, and Landscape Newfoundland and Labrador staff and volunteers, and staff support from the CNLA office.
The 2009 show was held at the Moncton Coliseum Complex, and delegates and exhibitors all commented on the convenient and central location of the venue. The show featured an excellent line-up of speakers, coming from across Canada, the US, and even Switzerland. Delegates commented that this was the best speaker program in the history of HortEast. The trade show was held on Tuesday and Wednesday and featured over 100 booths.

HortEast is planning a Garden Centre Tour on Monday, November 23rd. Travel by motorcoach to some of New Brunswick's finest garden centres, and local attractions, including Green Village Home & Garden, MacArthurs Nurseries Inc., lunch, beer tasting, and a tour at Molson Brewery, the new compost facilities operated by the Greater Moncton Sewerage Commission, and visit an impressive Aquascape Pond. HortEast has booked Jim Paluch as our Keynote speaker for the event. Jim will be offering a keynote address on Tuesday morning titled "Everybody Wins", as well as a workshop on Monday afternoon titled "Working Smarter". Leading up to HortEast, Jim Paluch will be offering a series of 6 FREE Webinars for our delegates and exhibitors to take advantage of.

Network with New and Old Friends!
HortEast will host an Early Bird Reception on Monday November 23rd from 8:00pm-10:00pm for Exhibitors, Sponsors and Delegates, at the Crowne Plaza (Acadian Room - 9th floor). A cash bar will be available and light appetizers will be served.
We will also be having our regular Kitchen Party on Tuesday November 24th. This is always a fun night to let loose and mingle with the HortEast crowd! From 7:00pm-10:00pm all delegates, exhibitors and sponsors of HortEast will be invited to this event. Join us at Studio 7 Hundred for appetizers and a cash bar. Special rates are also available on dinner theatre tickets. Thanks to our Kitchen Party Sponsor, Permacon!
The Atlantic Region Certification Committee (ARCC) will be hosting a VIP reception prior to this event, from 5:30-7:00pm. Certified Inviduals should look out for their invitation to this event!
